Since the students who are participating in the program will be fully enrolled at Emory and receive Emory credit, they will be charged Emory summer study abroad tuition for participation in the program.  The tuition bill will come from Emory's Office of Student Financial services during the normal billing cycle for the summer.  On the same bill, students will be charged a program fee covering extra expenses.  The non-refundable $350 application deposit will be applied towards tuition. Please review the Emory Credit and Cost Policy and the Summer Study Abroad Refund Policy.

The "billable subtotal" above lists the charges that will appear on the Emory OPUS bill.  The "non-billable" (to be paid directly by the student) subtotal above lists the additional estimated expenses.  All costs are subject to change.

Emory undergraduates who qualify for financial aid during the regular academic year are considered by the Office of Financial Aid for a summer aid award after registration in summer study abroad classes. No additional application is necessary. The amount of the award depends on the number of credits and current financial aid package.  Summer financial aid awards range from 35% of tuition to 80% of tuition.  (Students taking 12 credit hours will receive the same amount of aid as for 8 credit hours.)

Students should contact the Office of Financial Aid if they have any questions about their eligibility or for information about the specific award.

Financial Aid Contact:
Ms. Whitney Tucker-Jenkins, Office of Financial Aid,, 404-727-6039

Students with a high level of financial need may qualify for a deferment of the $350 deposit; students should contact the summer study abroad coordinator for details. Please be advised that you will be held accountable to the same refund policy as those students who submitted the deposit at the time of application.
