Visas (to be be paid directly by student): This fee is required for F-1 international students applying for OPT (work authorization) required by U.S. immigration in coordination with Emory's International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS).

Since the students who are participating in the program will be fully enrolled at Emory and receive Emory credit, they will be charged Emory summer study abroad tuition for participation in the program.  The tuition bill will come from Emory's Office of Student Financial services during the normal billing cycle for the summer.  On the same bill, students will be charged a program fee covering extra expenses.  The non-refundable $350 application deposit will be applied towards tuition. Please review the Emory Credit and Cost Policy and the Global Internships Refund Policy.

The "billable subtotal" above lists the charges that will appear on the Emory OPUS bill.  The "non-billable subtotal" above lists the additional estimated expenses (to be paid directly by the student).  Please note that the actual costs may vary based on personal spending habits.  All costs are subject to change.

Financial Aid/Scholarships:  Emory students who qualify are considered by the Office of Financial Aid for a summer aid award after registration in summer study abroad classes. The amount of the award depends on the number of credits and current financial aid package. Students currently receiving financial aid from Emory are typically eligible. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for information about specific awards. Emory Scholars are informed separately about the procedures for the Emory Scholars Summer Study Abroad awards. Emory University Employee Courtesy Scholarships may be applied to the academic fee portion of the summer study abroad program's cost.  Students currently receiving a Pell Grant may also apply for the Benjamin Gilman Scholarship.
