Emory College of Arts and Sciences Study Abroad - Office of International and Summer Programs

1. First, you will need to review what courses are available for your study abroad program for the fall 18 semester/year by going your program's website and viewing their course catalog. (See the Academics Tab on the Emory brochure pages and then 'Courses').
2.  Next, you will need to see if the courses that you are interested in are on the Emory OISP Blanket Approval Database. If these courses are not on this list, you will need to seek approval from the designated Faculty Study Abroad Representative in the appropriate academic department. 
3.  Finally, see the ‘Study Abroad Course Approvals’ material for the OISP Blanket Approval Database and to fill out the appropriate course approval form.

You must submit course approvals equivalent to a full time semester course load, generally 15-16 Emory credits (see your program's credit and grade translation memo) plus 2 additional courses. Do note that your Course Approvals for all Fall 2018 and Year 2018-19 applicants will be reviewed by your study abroad advisor on a weekly basis. Your advisor will check off this application requirement once a sufficient amount of course approvals has been submitted.
