Program Description:

Academic Focus: The university's large size allows a great range of courses. The music and psychology programs are popular with students, and the university also is known for its outstanding exercise science program. This program is open to all majors, but may be particularly suited to students with academic interests in the majors listed above.

Approximate Dates: Fall: early July to early December; Spring: early February to late July

Eligibility Requirements: A minimum 3.0 GPA, following at least 3 semesters of college-level work and enrollment at an accredited institution the semester prior to the study abroad semester. No language requirement.

Courses: All students should consult the IFSA-Butler Australia handbook for courses offered in major subject areas. Questions regarding academics at a particular university may be directed to the appropriate IFSA-Butler Program Coordinator at 1-800-858-0229.

Living Arrangements: IFSA-Butler arranges housing prior to arrival for Emory students. Students receive complete information about housing options after their applications are accepted. Housing is NOT provided before the program begins or after it ends. Students will likely live in IFSA-Butler housing a short commute from campus. The campus is situated in the tranquil neighborhood of St. Lucia in Brisbane. Students pay IFSA-Butler directly for all housing costs (including refundable housing deposit) and cost of meal ticket if elected or required.

Financial Aid/Scholarships: Students are eligible to carry existing financial aid and scholarships on Emory-approved study abroad programs.
