Program Description:
Hosted by: University College Dublin

Established in 1854, University College Dublin is the largest and most international of Ireland’s universities. UCD has a student population of over 24,000. There are almost 5,000 International students, about 20% of the total student body.

Academic Focus: UCD has academic strengths in Art History, Business, Celtic Archaeology and Civilization, Classics, Engineering, English, Geography, History, Irish Studies, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology, Nursing, Science, Pre-Medical, Pre-Veterinary Please see list of majors above.

Approximate Dates: Fall: early September to mid December
Spring: early January to early June

Courses: Students choose from a wide array of courses in various fields. Students are required to take a full course load of 30 ECTS credits which is equivalent to 15-16 credit hours at Emory. Approximately 5 courses per semester, depending on the weight of each course will fulfill the 30 ECTS requirement.
CIPA maintains a list of blanket approved courses. This list specifies how courses taken abroad will transfer back to Emory. PLEASE NOTE: Students may obtain additional approvals for courses that are not currently in the CIPA Master Blanket Approval List

Living Arrangements: On campus housing is guaranteed for Junior Year Abroad students.

Financial Aid/Scholarships: Students are eligible to carry existing financial aid and scholarships on Emory-approved study abroad programs.
