Emory Tuition covers 2 academic credits for the online course. The Program Fee includes a technology fee. The academic internships are unpaid. Please note, given the virtual platform, the budget above does not include living/personal expenses (estimated to be $610 per week based on Emory's Cost of Attendance).
Since the students who are participating in the program will be fully enrolled at Emory and receive Emory credit, they will be charged Emory tuition for participation in the program. The tuition bill will come from Emory's Office of Student Financial services during the normal billing cycle for the summer. On the same bill, students will be charged a program fee covering extra expenses. The non-refundable $350 program deposit will be applied towards tuition. Please review the Emory Credit and Cost Policy and the Global Internships Refund Policy.
The "billable subtotal" above lists the charges that will appear on the Emory OPUS bill. The "non-billable subtotal" above lists the additional estimated expenses (to be paid directly by the student). Please note that the actual costs may vary based on personal spending habits. All costs are subject to change.Students with a high level of financial need may qualify for a waiver of the $75 application fee and a deferment of the $350 deposit; students should contact their OISP advisor for details/eligibility. Students who receive the deposit deferment are held accountable to the same refund policy as those students who submit the deposit; you will be billed $350 if you withdraw from the program, in addition to any applicable withdrawal fees.
Financial Aid Awards: Emory undergraduates who qualify for financial aid during the regular academic year may contact the Office of Financial Aid about a summer aid award. No additional application is necessary. The amount of the award depends on the number of credits and current financial aid package. Summer financial aid awards typically range from 35% of tuition to 80% of tuition.
Emory Edge Stipends: Awards range from $1,000 to $6,000 depending on financial aid status, location, and budget.
Emory Scholars Summer Awards: Emory Scholars are informed directly by the Scholars Program about awards for summer program.
