: Melbourne is academically one of the top universities in the country and has a great selection of courses. Especially popular with study abroad students are the arts, Australian studies, economics, and science departments. This program is open to all majors, but may be particularly suited to students with academic interests in the majors listed above.

: A minimum 3.0 GPA, following at least 3 semesters of college-level work and enrollment at an accredited institution the semester prior to the study abroad semester. No language requirement.

Science Research Track:
This program also offers a science research track option. The science research focus currently is available in the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and NBB. Students will enroll in regular courses through IFSA-Butler at U. Melbourne, and will also complete a research course with an assisgned project as part of the program. Aside from research, students in this program will be taking biology, neuroscience, or chemistry courses to fulfill Emory major requirements.

- one research course
- one or more science lecture courses
- one or two elective courses, to complete 15-16 U.S. credit hours
A minimum 3.3 GPA, good academic standing, declared science major, rising junior status. At least one semester of research experience with an Emory College research group in Biology, NBB, or Chemistry and a letter of recommendation from the Emory College research advisor. Pre-med students should also verify that chosen courses taken abroad will satisfy the admission requirements of chosen medical schools. : IFSA Butler arranges housing prior to arrival for Emory students. Students receive complete information about housing options after their applications are accepted. Housing is NOT provided before the program begins or after it ends. University housing includes residential colleges and apartments outside of the campus. Apartments are shared with other IFSA-Butler students and usually require a commute to campus. Students pay IFSA Butler directly for all housing costs (including refundable housing deposit) and cost of meal ticket if elected or required.
