Program Description:
The Office for International and Summer Programs (OISP) is pleased to offer a grant for students who are traveling abroad for the first time on an Emory-approved summer study abroad program.

International experiences are integral to a liberal arts education. An education abroad experience fosters understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of cultures other than our own and also promotes a better, more discerning understanding of the U.S. in all of its own diversity.  Emory College Study Abroad strongly believes that education abroad experiences are essential to the development and preparation of students for the future.
This grant is designed to offset the tuition/program fee costs associated with summer study abroad. All grants awarded are conditional upon a student’s acceptance to and participation in a approved Emory College summer study abroad program. (If a grant recipient withdraws from the program, the grant funding will be revoked.)
For Summer 2018, the award amount is expected to be approximately $1,000 per recipient.
