Program Description:
Education Abroad is pleased to offer a grant for students who are traveling abroad on an Emory-approved summer study abroad program. This scholarship is a needs-based scholarship designed for students with very limited or no international travel experience.

International experiences are integral to a liberal arts education. An education abroad experience fosters understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of cultures other than our own and also promotes a better, more discerning understanding of the U.S. in all of its own diversity.  Emory College Study Abroad strongly believes that education abroad experiences are essential to the development and preparation of students for the future.

This grant is designed to offset the tuition/program fee costs associated with summer study abroad. All grants awarded are conditional upon a student’s acceptance to and participation in an approved Emory College summer study abroad program. If a grant recipient withdraws from the program, the grant funding will be revoked.

For Summer 2024, the award amount is expected to be approximately $1,000 per recipient.
