Tom Hilchey Study Abroad Award
Purpose: To celebrate the life of Tom Hilchey, Emory has created the Tom Hilchey Study Abroad Award to provide financial support to students with demonstrated need who are participating in semester study abroad. The award will go to an Emory College student, with preference for a student mirroring Tom’s experience: a Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology major participating in a semester abroad program at the University of St. Andrews. The funds are intended to help cover travel and living expenses associated with the semester study abroad program that fall outside of what is covered through financial aid.
Eligibility: Students must have minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and participate in an Emory-approved study abroad program during the fall or spring semesters. If awarded, the scholarship will be posted to your student account and will be applied to the cost of the program.
Awards: There will be one award of $1,000.
