The University of Auckland offers a variety of courses with academic strengths in Anthropology, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Media Studies, and Psychology. This program is open to all majors, but may be particularly suited to students with academic interests in the majors listed above.
Fall: mid July to late November; Spring: mid February to late June
A minimum 3.0 GPA, following at least 3 semesters of college-level work and enrollment at an accredited institution the semester prior to the study abroad semester. No language requirement.
All students should consult the IES course listing and University of Auckland course catalog for courses offered in major subject areas. Questions regarding academics at a particular university may be directed to the appropriate IES Abroad Representative.

: IES Abroad arranges housing prior to arrival for Emory students. Students receive complete information about housing options after their applications are accepted. Housing is NOT provided before the program begins or after it ends. The University of Auckland has two housing options: homestays or apartment living with international students. The University of Auckland housing options require a short commute to campus. Students pay IES Abroad directly for all housing costs. Homestays include 16 meals per week. Apartments are self-catered, and meals are not included.

: Students are eligible to carry existing financial aid and scholarships on Emory-approved study abroad programs. Students may also be eligible to apply for scholarships through IES Abroad.
