Cliff brings 30 years of international education experience to advising for global internships. After college, Cliff taught English for three years in Taiwan and Beijing. His international work experience produced a lifelong fascination with cross-cultural communication and a commitment to promoting social justice and global citizenship. He directed VIA (Volunteers in Asia), a service-learning program with a mission similar to the Peace Corps. He also supported VIA programs introducing Asian university students to leadership and social innovation in Silicon Valley. While serving as liaison between six of Rotary's international offices, his MS project explored global virtual teams. After an intensive training at Stanford's Life Design Lab, he helped launch workshops at Hobart and William Smith Colleges that apply design thinking, a creative problem solving process, to help students get the most out of college and navigate from college to a meaningful career. When not plotting how to get to the next international destination on his bucket list, he can be found motivating himself for another triathlon or searching for the best ethnic food in Atlanta with his husband.
